Lake Stickney Ohana

Our client recently purchased a mid-century, lake-front home on a 3/4 acre lot. Eventually, the main home will undergo a full renovation. In the meantime, the client hired us to design a detached accessory dwelling unit. The client's Hawaiian roots will inspire the Ohana's (cottage) style, while the modern design with mid-century touches will tie in with the existing home. The DADU will include an oversized two-car garage and 1200sf of living space. The kitchen, dining, living, and bedroom spaces on the top level will allow for compact living and a peek-a-boo view of the lake from the deck. The client looks forward to welcoming extended family for long visits once this project is complete!
